Good news for the early birds

If you get up before 7AM, you are more likely to be happier, thinner, healthier, and less stressed than those who get up later.

This is according to a recent study presented at a British Psycological Society conference a few weeks ago. Researchers at Britain’s Roehampton University asked 1,068 adults about their eating and sleeping habits as well as how they rated their levels of happiness, anxiety, physical health, and weight.

However, the lead researcher, Dr. Joerg Huber, didn’t have much to offer on why early birds do better: he suggested that perhaps getting morning chores out of the way and having a good breakfast allowed the early risers to cope better with the hectic pace of modern life.

Didn’t we know already that the early bird catches the worm? What about you, are you an early riser or a night owl?
