After that, I began to eat millet for breakfast. It is one of major staples in the west african diet. To eat like this is a form of solidarity for the poor of the world. For us here in Canada, to survive on $1.75 is no doubt a challenge!! When we become conscious, that is when change occurs. Thanx for bringing forth this challenge. It is something much needed in our time.

It is difficult to survive on $1.75 per day and even more difficult for persons wth allergies and intolerances to items such as nuts, peas, beans, oats and soy, which would be staples at this price point.
